Job Description:
1. Day to day application support as it relates to the underlying databases.
2. Resolving tuning and other database-related issues as it affects the applications.
3. Performance tuning in both Oracle and SQL Server.
4. Databse backups with SQL Server, Litespeed, and RMAN
5. Interacting with the Eng community for database architecture/planning/support
6. Tuning databases for multi-purpose scenarios (i.e. reporting vs. on line transaction processing, vs. nightly processing and more.)
7. Setting up access and administering access
8. Replication using SQL Server and Oracle tools
Skills/Requirements:
Must have 4+ years of experience with SQL Server 2008 or higher and Oracle 10g or higher.
